Moonlighter 2 beginner guide
This Moonlighter 2 beginner guide covers the first dungeon-to-shop loop in Tresna. Open the Moonlighter, take the dimensional portal, survive a Kalina-style run, and return with relics you can actually sell. Back to Business starts Will’s new chapter. Back on Track is awarded for opening the shop. Just Like Old Times fires when you use the portal. The game is single-player with full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense categories, and Steam lists no multiplayer tag. Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play. Keep this page beside the shop and vault desks instead of mixing in Moonlighter 1 Golem, Forest, or Desert dungeon names. Read this loop before the shop perk board or the vault cube. The first hour is open shop, take portal, survive Kalina-style combat, and sell what fits. Controller and single-player flags are store facts, not guesses. The receipt, the Kalina still, and the incursion chest are the three first-hour objects. Everything else on this wiki is a later desk.
Tear-off first-run receipt
Five Steam achievements map onto the first merchant day. Press a line when you have done it; this browser keeps the ticks in local storage so a reload still shows n / 5. The ids are the sealed achievement keys, not invented quest names. Wishing Well is meeting the plaza cube, which is the same artifact that later numbered gold trials use. Shop Sweet Shop is the first decoration placement, the same furniture language as Modest Display Case. Do not wait for a narrator checklist in-game — the public Steam page is the receipt. Hidden achievements stay blank on that page until unlocked, so this first-run set uses only public rows. Reload the page after ticking a line: both aria-pressed and the n / 5 counter must survive. That persistence is the interaction contract for this receipt, not a cloud save.
Survive the first dungeon
Kalina is the starting dimension. Official stills show canyon combat against The Herald and a candle-lit cavern for Thalaam. Sweet Petrichor is Defeat Monte. Twilight Knight is the Ultimate Kalina Challenge, a later 1.0 stamp rather than the first-hour boss. Early Access launched with three biomes of two floors each; that floor count is historical and should not be read as a 1.0 bestiary. Keep backpack space for relics you want to sell. The broom remains a real weapon on this run: Humble Hero is a boss kill with it, which is a reason not to treat the broom as a joke starter. If a chest drops a better relic, eject junk before the portal. The cliff still on this page is the Kalina combat language — sandstone, a circular slash, and a 90 health pip — not a generic slash-vfx card. Monte is a named Kalina boss without a dedicated still in this catalog. Use Sweet Petrichor as the defeat stamp and keep HP numbers off this guide.

Bring relics back to the shop
Incursion chests and floor drops fill the backpack. Eject junk if a better relic appears; the pack is also a combat tool, and Home Run later asks you to eject 50 enemies with it. Once you portal home, place goods in a Modest Display Case — official copy says it is not fancy but it gets the job done — and aim for Perfect rather than Cheap. Quality multiplies gold; A Skilled Hand asks you to raise quality to 250 or higher, which is a later desk task, not a first-hour requirement. Last Units wants 20 different relics at Perfect. Market Recon is discovering all prices of a relic. Golden Egg is a single sale of 10,000 gold or more. None of those stamps replace the four Day 11 tags on the home desk. The incursion loot still is the return trip: a chest, a pickup, and a reason to leave a slot empty. Incursion loot is a return-trip still, not a drop table. If a chest is better than what you carry, eject junk on the floor before the portal rather than overflowing at the gate.

What to open after the first loop
Once the first Perfect sale is on the counter, treat the rest of 1.0 as three desks rather than one endless scroll. The shop page owns perks, cases, and shop levels. The vault page owns numbered gold trials, Infinite Endless Vault, and Hardcore. The dimensions gallery owns Kalina, The Gallery, Aeolia, and Greed Colosseum with official stills. Weapons and relics are lookup boards for attested names, not a first-hour dump. If you still need platforms, DLC, or the 2 September 2026 date, the release tape is the SKU shelf. That split is how this beginner guide stays a loop instead of a second full wiki.
After the first sale, the plaza cube is the gold-trial path and the shop perk board is the day-shift path. Novice Merchant is completing the first Endless Vault challenge; that is a numbered trial, not a hidden story flag. An Unwelcome Guest is first entry to The Gallery. Overture is first entry to Aeolia. Greed Colosseum arrived in Greed & Glory on 11 March 2026 as an arena / post-boss challenge. Bloblets are a Blob-Life addition from 20 May 2026; the first rescue is New Companion. Do not chase redeem codes — no first-party code channel exists on Steam, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, or official news. A competitor /codes URL is a mislabeled price page. For platforms, editions, and the 1.0 date, use the release desk. For named floors and boss stills, use the dimensions gallery. After the first Perfect sale, the plaza cube and the perk board are the two desks that grow the shop. Codes and co-op questions belong on the FAQ, not in this first-hour list.
